Cigna is excited to offer our revitalized Cigna's Medical Benefits Abroad (MBA) product that has a new attitude — simplicity, flexibility, convenience, and ease.
When employees travel on international business, it's important that they have access to quality health care when they need it. Cigna's gives them that access, because our MBA plan is like the travelers it covers — mobile. The MBA plan provides medical coverage to individuals for unexpected illness and injuries that may occur while traveling on international business outside of their home country or country of permanent assignment
The MBA has been an integral part of Cigna's international portfolio for approximately 35 years. There are four pre-priced plan design options:
- Standard
- Premier
- Premier plus
- Elite
In addition to the pre-priced plans, Cigna can offer custom quotes for enhancements such as travel greater than 749 weeks or medical care for family members traveling with the employee. Please refer to our brochure for more information on custom quotes.
Cigna helps travelers plan ahead through a dedicated website they can access prior to and during their trip. The website is tailored to meet the needs of short-term travelers. Travelers can view valuable, practical information for more than 200 countries and can locate doctors and hospitals from Cigna’s global directory of pre-screened health care professionals – even before they need care.
